The committee will consist of six members, two to be elected each year to serve for three years. The treasurer will be an ex-officio member. Its function will be to plan and promote the total financial program of the church under the supervision of the finance committee. Its duties are these:
To promote stewardship throughout the year.
To annually prepare a proposed budget by evaluating requests made from the various church organizations and committees.
To present the proposed budget to the finance committee for review and approval.
To present the proposed budget to the church membership at least one week prior to a vote for approval.
To review the budget periodically and propose amendments as necessary.
The current committee members are Hugh Austell and Nick Austell (2004), Chris Crepps and Brenda Sharts (2005), and Amanda Burton and Jonathan Hicks (2006). Treasurer C&J Accounting serves as an ex-officio member of this committee.
